The event will also include a live performance by John Forte, formerly of The Fugees. The coalition works not only to meet these residents immediate food needs but also to enact innovative solutions to help society move beyond the soup kitchen to ensure economic and food self-sufficiency for all Americans. Her recent professional and academic work, including her publications, has focused on questions of how to improve access around the world to relatively low-cost, high-quality health care services for both acute and chronic needs, and on more holistic questions of empowerment and equal rights (in areas including health and the arts), particularly with concern to children.
